I’m into my last month of a long break before my humane responsibility catches up on me to further my studies. But the real deal begins in July/August.
My writings have been running a little scarce in this moment, for occasions and events have left me with less luxury of time. However, it has been an enriching time of inner consecration and self-developing.
Sometimes, living in the fullness of comfort and security can leave you apathetic and inactive. But sometimes, those are the moments meant for you to recuperate, refill yourself, and prepare for the next ministry. There are times when we can be so caught up in reaching the destination and getting things done, that we miss out on the experience that God intend for us to see, taste and feel along the way. It’s easy to say these things now, but when are loaded, are we still willing to give our time, effort, and heart into ministry?
But through experiences, God will make Himself so, very real to us. Perhaps within the walls of comfort, we do not feel the need to run to God, and perhaps our faith becomes more of a knowledge-like belief to us, than something that drives us to be better people to make a difference. But in reality, God is as real as when we watch a dead man resurrected in front of our own eyes, it’s just a matter of how much we are opened and receptive to His presence.
God is preparing us for a greater ministry. To use us to extend His family, to serve people, the community, the world. We gotta use our transition periods wisely to keep ourselves adequate and prepared enough to be used by Him.
Many things are temporary, but three things remain – our life, God, and God’s Word.
Let’s pursue adding values to our lives, by the strength and courage of God, and God’s Word.
For at the end of the day, it’s these things that will permanently stay with us.
People may be temporary in our life, but while they are still there, let’s spend quality time with them, for we do not know when will either party be gone.
There’s a world to discover in a person. Lots to learn from one.
I believe that experiences make us who we are, and by sharing our experiences with another, we open up their minds to the possibilities and happenings of life, of the things seen and unseen.
Hence, do not be ashamed of your experiences, they have made you who you are, and will continue to teach you to be a better person in the future.
Use your experiences to influence others, for they’re one of the best teachers.
Let’s invest in building and developing our inner selves, for it will be of great use in our future endeavors.
God bless =)
‘Prepare the Way’ got my attention since some years ago God taught my heart the meaning of ‘Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his path straight.’ Thus, my website is internetelias.wordpress.com where much emphasis is placed on Elijah/John the Baptist/Elias and his relevance to the here and now.
“But through experiences, God will make Himself so very real to us.”
Through personal experience I am learning that the greatest difference I will make is to yield my individual person to the transforming power of God. The regenerated man is a powerful force as he uses his hands, feet, mouth and heart as the Temple of God through which Love abundant serves a suffering and dying world. Thus, all Good that comes forth is from God. To Him be the glory.
Enjoyed visiting your site. I will be back and read more :).
Carolyn
Hi Carolyn, thank you for dropping by here, I’m glad it was a blessing to you. Indeed, I’m just speaking from what God has allowed me to experience, and I believe He intended it not only for me, but for all whom I could share it with, for we could all learn together to be better people =)
And yes, I truly agree with you about yielding ourselves to Him. Sometimes when we’re in the midst of a beautiful myriad of personalities, we may try to be somebody else, perhaps trying to imitate their gifts/talents, perhaps out of envy, or out of feelings of self-inadequacy. But we fail to realize that God created us uniquely, and He wants to use us, just as we are at this moment. I believe we have our respective sets of strengths, weaknesses and experiences, but truly, they make us.
Appreciate your feedback and sharing, gotta learn some good insights from you =)
